Patty Gasso[edit]

  • ... that Patty Gasso has led the Oklahoma Sooners softball team to seven appearances in the Women's College World Series, including a national championship in 2000 and a second-place finish in 2012?

  • QPQ done. Hook formatted correctly.
  • Article is too short and not fully supported by online sources. --LauraHale (talk) 10:31, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Willing to re-review from scratch when issues taken care of because this seems like a weird abberation by a DYK nominator who normally brings ready articles to DYK. --LauraHale (talk) 10:31, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

  • The place where you put citation needed is based on the List of college softball coaches with 800 wins. It's a separate list/article that I've been maintaining for a couple years. That separate list/article has full sourcing for the data in the list. Would be cumbersome to try to put the sourcing in the Gasso article as well. Suppose it could be done, but take a look and let me know. That data is not the subject of the hook fact either. As for length, I'm on vacation and signing in from the road. I thought I checked and that it was over 1500 characters. If not, could you let me know how short of 1500 it is. I may be able to find a few minutes this week to add to the article. Gasso is one of the top coaches in the sport, and it would be nice to see her featured on the main page. Cbl62 (talk) 17:41, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
  • "Prose size (text only): 993 characters (170 words) "readable prose size"" In this case, really short. :( If it was only 10 characters short, might have given the pass but more than that. :( --LauraHale (talk) 20:58, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Issues noted above have now been resolved. Thanks for being patient while I was on vacation. Cbl62 (talk) 05:51, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Hook supported by article text and source. Article fully supported by sources and neutreal enough and long enough. No imags to check. Good to go.--LauraHale (talk) 06:41, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
