  • Article is new, more than 1500 prose, have good references with inline citations, QPQ done, neutral. There is a problem with image which is watermarked. Watermark should be removed according to image policy. --Nizil (talk) 13:08, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

  • No objections. You have removed watermark on image by editing in paint. All references are good and all guide lines followed. Suggestion: You can crop photo to remove watermark also, which will not affect the quality of photo. Please check for Copyright also because sometimes watermarked images are unfree.   • One thing in the article doesn't make sense: the Geography section gives the minimum temperature at night as 8 degrees celsius, yet the Flora and fauna section says the lake freezes in the winter, indicating temperatures below 0 degrees.   • The lake is inaccessible during winter, due to closure of treks which is mentioned in the article, therefore the temperature the article is talking about is during summer, which I have added now. Hope it works.  MehrajMir (Talk) 03:44, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for adding the qualification that it's summer. I have to confess, though, while the final "Geography and climate" paragraph reads just fine and makes sense, I'm puzzled by the three inline citations (1, 3, and 4) that follow it. I just looked at all three on line, and none of them give any temperature information that I can see. One does mention that the lake has floating ice in it during the summer, though it isn't used to cite that information in the next section. What am I missing?   • Might want to mention that it has ice in it even in summer. (Don't remember the exactly details, whether it's ice floes or some other form.) Don't know whether that's sufficiently hooky. Or that its twin lake is similarly affected. I seem to recall both of these when checking sources. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:08, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
  • The ice which float is actually the snow deposited at the banks of the lake during winter when it starts to melt in summer, it breaks into pieces and flows in the lake and finaly disappers. The another twin lake will have its own article. Regarding the hook I couldnt find more intresting than this one.  MehrajMir (Talk) 04:12, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
  • (edit conflict) I've taken a look, and I can't find in the two cited sources where it gives a summer high of 20° C and low of 8° C. If you can't give me a page in those sources that specifically mentions Tarsar lake, or even the area they're in (in which case you'd have to modify the information in the paragraph to say it's the area rather than the lake in particular), then the information is not verifiable, and should be removed. Thanks. It's probably for the best. If the ice doesn't work for an ALT hook, how about the fact (if it can be sourced) that it's one of the twin sisters? Or is at 3,795 metres (12,451 ft) and has a "twin sister" on the other side of a mountain from it? (Ditto on sourcing.) The hook now is just detailed description of what and where; a little less of both with interesting or odd facts inserted in their place can make the hook more successful. How about something shorter, without so much detail? I also don't think "the" is necessary before "Tarsar Lake", and since "twin sisters" is not quoted in the article, I don't think it needs to be here. However, an inline citation will need to be added after the twin sisters sentence for the hook to be allowed. (You should probably also mention "Kashmir Valley" somewhere in the article itself, rather than only in the infobox.)
