Usage[edit]
This template renders the standard Israeli currency abbreviation (NIS) and an optional value. The abbreviation provides an informative link to the Israeli new shekel article.
- {{ILS|123.45}} produces NIS 123.45 (with a space between the abbreviation and the value).
- {{ILS}} by itself produces NIS (simple currency abbreviation).
The link to Israeli new shekel can be turned on and off using the link parameter.
- {{ILS|link=yes|123.45}} produces NIS 123.45 (link is turned on).
- {{ILS|link=no|123.45}} produces NIS 123.45 (link is turned off).
Display shekel sign[edit]
Alternatively, the shekel sign may also be used.
- {{ILS|long=no}} produces ₪ (simple currency sign)
- {{ILS|link=yes|long=no}} produces ₪ (simple currency article link)
- {{ILS|123.45|long=no}} produces ₪123.45
- {{ILS|123.45|link-yes|long=no}} produces ₪123.45
{{NIS}}, {{shekel}} and {{sheqel}} redirect to here and have the same effect.
