If you place the Wikitext {{User WP Karnataka}} on your user page, this template will display the following userbox:

This user participates in
WikiProject Karnataka.

If you place the Wikitext {{User WP Karnataka|invite}} on your user page, this template will display the following userbox:

This user invites you to join
WikiProject Karnataka.

Either of these will add your user page to the following two categories:

A nocat=true parameter may be used to inhibit the declaration of these categories.
