Singles section?

Here's a proposal for the addition of a singles section into the template. It's a bit long, so I don't know if it will work, but the Gorillaz template has one and it works. If there is a majority of agreement, feel free to make the addition.

I'm only concerned that it would go out of control like the Kylie infobox. That thing is like 2 paragraphs long. --Madchester 02:56, 27 September 2005 (UTC)

Style change

As I'm doing with all band-related infoboxes, I've modified this template to conform to a uniform style (see Template:Rush for an example). If you see any other band infoboxes that would benefit from the change, let me know. plattopustalk 14:36, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

Remove White Shadows?

Should White Shadows be removed from the Singles section of this template? It was never released. The song's linked from the X&Y album page, so I'm not sure we need a link here. --Typobox43 19:06, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

I agree. According to me too, it doesnt belong to this template.Frédérick Lacasse 17:26, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Death Will Never Conquer?

Is this true about it being a single? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 02:28, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

One editor made the addition that it was a new single, claiming that it was being given away as a free download on the official site. However, artists regularly giveaway music on their website/Myspace; there's no supporting third-party sources suggesting that the cover is actually a new single. --Madchester (talk) 17:35, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Featured singles

Most of these feature Chris Martin on his own working with other artists and they are never credited as band efforts. They do not belong in a Coldplay section. 58.7.174.10 (talk) 05:53, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I've noticed that problem for a long while. I'm going to borrow the Radiohead template's approach, where there's a separate section for Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood's solo work. --Madchester (talk) 17:36, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Related Artists

How are bands like Arcade Fire and U2 related to Coldplay? I understand that they had collaborated with Johnny Cash, and Chris Martin with Jay-Z, but the rest simply seem to be influences. I don't really think that those reasons alone merits them a place in the template. Sylar07 (talk) 15:21, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Split

Solo by Chris Martin should be splitted into new template/table or removed. Silvergoat (talkcontrib) 10:55, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Love in Tokyo - notable?

Hello, I would like to add the Love in Tokyo live album to the template, but an anonymous IP user has responded that it is not notable. It is an official live album (not a bootleg) only released in Japan, but easily available via the usual popular auction and marketplace sites. It did not enter the charts so has very low sales. However, any album from a major band is notable, even if it is a poor seller, so I would argue it should be included in this template.John a s (talk) 10:40, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
