It appears he/she want to change/add to the variants to make it possible to display the 4 different local flags using the same template with different parameters. I agree with that, it would be far easier to use them in articles that way. - MTC 05:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
checkY Done partial I don't see the value in adding "local-red" and "proposed" variants, as those two flags are not currently used in icon form on any articles. These templates aren't intended to replace articles like Flag of Guadeloupe or serve as a "catalog" of all possible variants, but instead serve as a convenient way to consistently render commonly used images. Therefore, I have added the local and region variants, as those are rendered on several pages each and should be part of this template for that reason. Andrwsc 18:45, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Addition[edit]

Could you please add a "| sport={{{sport}}}" row in order to add support for this template? --Angelo 03:59, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that the flag variant with the red field is nowadays frequently used, e.g. in the main article on Guadeloupe, or in all templates dealing with Guadeloupe (see e.g. Template:Guadeloupe-stub, or the section "file usage" [1]). Would be nice to have access via flagicon, etc. Would like to use it within the articles on the CARIFTA Games (together with the official French flag) to differentiate between athletes from French Guiana, Guadeloupe, and Martinique competing in different teams at the events.  Done I've added it as local2. Hope this name is ok. Let me know if you want a different name. -- WOSlinker (talk) 19:26, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Add | flag alias-football=Flag of Guadeloupe (local).svg and | altvar={{{altvar}}} so that the flag used for association football can automatically display when calling {{Fb}}. S.A. Julio (talk) 00:46, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
