Summary of Video games WikiProject open tasks:

Years and Presents[edit]

Firstly, years are both unnecessary and undesirable for video games except where it is necessary to disambiguate one video game from another (which will be evident from the linked page's title).

Secondly, we do not add published games to navboxes as a general rule, only those which are developed by a company. This keeps the company navboxes tightly focused to the games most interesting for those companies. --Izno (talk) 22:42, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And just in case it's not obvious in case there is some other disputed content, we do not add redirects, nonlinks, anchor links, or red links per WP:NAV. --Izno (talk) 22:45, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • @81.98.216.65: In reply to your question my talk page, which I would like to centralize here, I didn't actually mean to link to WP:NAVBOX but rather WP:NAV (can be confusing!). The guideline outlines that things extraneous markup (small templates) and unnecessary info that does not enhance navigability (year nums in general). Furthermore, redirects, section links and redlinks are strictly forbidden, the first two of which were introduced through your reversions (most titles under the published line were redirects back to the DF Presents section). Whether the inclusion of the published section as a whole or its lack therefore enhances or decreases nevigability is more of an opinion matter, but I will leave this to Izno above. You are always free to discuss this last part, of course. Lordtobi () 08:16, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
