Gaudet should not be included. Interim coaches are not the true head coach because in fact the head coach is still in charge Beno1983 21:52, 26 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • I wholeheartedly disagree. Gaudet was still a Duke head coach, and received the credit for Duke's wins and losses during the time he served in Krzyzewski's place. The university recognizes him as such, and it's only appropriate to do the same here. Besides, if a coach was fired during the season and an interim coach was appointed in his place, you wouldn't say that the deposed head coach who should have the credit, right? --fuzzy510 01:37, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm about 4 years late on this conversation, but for future reference to anyone reading this, WikiProject College Basketball has unanimously consented to including interim head coaches in their navboxes, just like WikiProject College Football. Jrcla2 (talk) 00:46, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
