Emperor John I/VI[edit]

Would he not be an emperor recognized by Brazilian law, for the Treaty of Rio de Janeiro is a law-binding treaty ratified by both Brazil and Portugal, making Joao VI emperor Joao I. First, he was never called "John I". Second, international treaties are not above a country's constitution, Third, the entire idea behind this template is to have key articles to understand the imperial era in Brazil. There are many, many key historical figures who were left out, such as regent Antônio Diogo Feijó, Conservative founder Bernardo Pereira de Vasconcelos, Conservative leader Viscount of Itaboraí, Liberal founder and leader Cristiano Otoni, etc... Possible section[edit]

I was just looking at the template and reading the Portugues version of the Brasilian Empire article and I thought of a possible section to add to this template. I propose a section called origins, which would include articles like the Portugues Corte Transfer and Joao VI and the UK of P, B, and the A and how all this lead up to an independent Brazilian monarchy. Province section[edit]

There are many sections about nobility people. But they were only a small part of the empire! Why was the province section removed? The territories that made up the empire are less important than some individuals??? LatinoLatino (talk) 20:17, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is not about nobles, but about key people in the military (the commander-in-chief of each international war) and the key politicians (people regarded as the most important politicians in each decade of the Empire). --Lecen (talk) 20:22, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The articles are more than a line. WRT the template ... have you seen Template:Portuguese overseas empire? Why can the Portuguese Empire have such a monstruos template, and the Empire of Brazil template can not have one or two lines for the provinces?
