Explanation of changes[edit]

I have cut down some of the information presented in the former teams section of this template as per the guidelines at WP:NAVBOX. I have removed all the links for the military teams that appeared in the early days of the league, as these links were to general articles on the regiments etc. they represented, not to anything on the actual teams. As these military articles don't mention sport, they are of no navigational benefit with respect to Highland League football.

Additionally, I have taken out the various footnotes and italics detailing the current status of former HFL teams, whether they are playing in the SPFL or defunct etc. This is the kind of information that may belong in an article, but not in a navbox, which should only provide links between related articles, not seek to add additional context.
