Anachronism[edit]

For 1965 to 1974 the box is in legal error. London included some seats which are in the lists for Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Essex and Kent for those years. In all fairness and the politics of the millions of residents of those parts in London at the time, Doktorbuk (and anyone else interested) BrownHairedGirl? this needs a footnote.- Adam37 Talk 18:24, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Adam37: good point, but I am not a fan of footnotes in navboxes.
It seems to me that this would be better tackled by adding a new post-1965 section, to include the constituencies which were in Greater London, but had not been within the London County Council area. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 18:48, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes the outer London councils are well known to me. I will find the overlapping Wr. seats.- Adam37 Talk 19:38, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't care. Please untag me. doktorb wordsdeeds 20:20, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Parliamentary counties typically lag changes in local government. The anachronism is including constituencies that were part of other parliamentary counties until 1974. MRSC (talk) 10:53, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
