format issue[edit]

It appears that every article using this template is in Category:Pages with non-numeric formatnum arguments, even if given valid input per the template. Jonesey95? MB 14:38, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That category is a tracking category that currently has no effect on anything, and the WMF developers have not announced any intention to change or "fix" anything related to it, so it is best left alone for now. If WMF sometime in the future intends to change the way that formatnum works, we'll need to write our own template to format numbers. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:04, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
