Comment[edit]

Maybe, since it's called Moomin series and all, that big, visually unfortunate bit on the bottom that is Other Tove Jansson books, is superflouous? Suggesting it gets cut. MURGH disc. 12:38, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WD. Looks much better now. MURGH disc. 09:05, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, however I have added the titles to Tove's other books to 'Other', simply so that they are there because they are related to the whole subject (Midnightblueowl (talk) 19:44, 18 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]
I Just re-edited this section to remove Midnightblueowl's additions from "Other." I have instead placed them in a new category titled "Non-Moomin Topics" as they really have no connection to the Moomin series at all. I also placed several of Tova Jansson's family members in the "Other" or "Non-Moomin Topics" categories. My rationale was that if any of these family members contributed to the Moomin series then they should be included under "Other," but if they were only related in the same sense the non-Moomin books are then they should fall under "Non-Moomin Topics." I had some trouble with both Signe Hammarsten-Jansson and Tuulikki Pietilä considering that they each had indirect influence on the books (Tuulikki was the model for Too-Ticki and Signe's death is suggested to have marked the end of the series and Tove's artwork was described by her as an attempt to emulate Signe's artistry). Nevertheless, I have placed them under "Non-Moomin Topics" because their contributions were only indirect. -Thibbs (talk) 17:40, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS - It is unspoken, but I think it should be made clear that the Non-Moomin books are all only the ones that have been translated into English. This is en.wikipedia, after all, and a more complete list can be found under the Tove Jansson article... -Thibbs (talk) 17:59, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New film[edit]

There was a new (puppet animation, I think) film produced in Finland and released 2008. It was at least sold to Sweden. I'll try to find info to add here. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 00:24, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
