The Purple Tape Instrumentals is the third instrumental hip hop album by American rapper and record producer Evidence . It was released on December 9, 2008 through Dirt Class Records with distribution via Traffic Entertainment Group. Production was handled entirely by Evidence himself, except for two tracks: "On Top" produced with Sid Roams, and "Ev N' Al" produced with The Alchemist .
