Tumhare Husn Kay Naam (Urdu: تمہارے حسن کے نام , lit.'In the name of your beauty') is a 2023 Pakistani television series adapted from Hakeem Nayyar Wasty's 1930 novel Akhtar aur Salma. It is directed by Saqib Khan and written by Sara Qayyum and Umera Ahmed. It stars Saba Qamar and Imran Abbas in leading roles.[1][2][3]

Plot[edit]

The story is set in 1993 in Lahore. Tumhare Husn Ke Naam focuses on the relationship between a poet and his inspiration. Sikandar Altaf is renowned for his romantic poetry and affable versatility. He falls in love with Salma Qureshi, a lady with a golden heart and a straightforward personality. Like Sikandar, she is also a student in University of the Punjab's College of Art & Design. Atif is a family friend who comes to meet her family on lunch and gets smitten with her beauty and decides to get married to her. He asks his parents to send marriage proposal for Salma. However, Salma's mother asks for some time from them to consider it for now. However, Salma & Sikandar start loving each other and Salma's best friend Muneeza wants to marry Atif as she is fascinated with his personality and wealth.

The narrative follows their voyage as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship, and how their love inspires the poet’s work.
