Early life and education[edit]

Prager was raised in Wiesbaden, Germany. He studied economics at Zurich University and had early roles at London's Savoy and Mayfair hotels.[2]

Career[edit]

In 1948, he established a restaurant in Zürich, which led to the creation of the Mövenpick, encompassing various food products and eateries.[2][3]

In 1992, Prager sold his shares in Mövenpick to August von Finck.[4]
