Jan Terri (June 17, 1959) is a singer born in Chicago who has achieved notoriety for her videos in VHS format. In the early 90s she recorded two albums: High Risk and Baby Blues, accompanied by VHS tapes that included her music videos, which have recently become popular with the arrival of YouTube. Terri graduated from Columbia College of Chicago in 1983 with a degree in Communications and in Art and Entertainment Management. At Columbia she worked as a support singer for the band Windy City Cowboys. In 1992, Terri worked as a limousine driver when she planned to make music again. She recorded a collection of songs and filmed several music videos to help promote them. While still working as a limousine driver, Terri gave copies of the videos to her clients in an attempt to arouse some interest in her incipient career. These tapes became objects of worship in the advertising and marketing circles. In the late 1990s, Terri's career finally experienced a spike. A copy of one of her videos finally reached the rocker Marilyn Manson, who allowed her to act as a supporting act in one of his concerts. Some scenes of the artist can be seen in Manson's work, God is in the TV.
