IBM Liberty Profile z/OS[edit]
IBM announced WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5 on April 24th, 2012. One element of that announcement was a new application server model called the "Liberty Profile." The Liberty Profile is architected to be functionally composable -- function may be added or removed based on the requirements of the applications hosted by the Liberty Profile server instance. It is also designed to be dynamic -- the configuration and the hosted applications may be changed with updates detected and dynamically applied.
