High Coniscliffe C.E. Primary School[edit]

High Coniscliffe

High Coniscliffe C.E. Primary School is the village' only school, it is situated in the North-East of England of County Durham, next to the A67 from Darlington to Barnard Castle. Currently the Primary School is home to over 100 children ranging from ages 4-11 and with at least 15 members of Staff. The school has achieved the sustainable level of the National School Travel Plan process which makes it easier and safer for children to get to school without wasting as much resources, than it would without. The school achieves this by running a School Bus trip which picks up children in the region; mainly over the west-end of Darlington. In 2007-2008 it received an Ofsted Report of Outstanding and became the best primary school in the region according to the Parent forum.

History[edit]

It was founded in 1963 where it occupied only 40 children. Recently the School House was situated
at the Old Vicarage besides the Church, St Edwins.
