The Long Island Rail Road Today takes a 21st century-oriented look at the LIRR--the site seeks to explain and illustrate the inner workings of the Long Island Rail Road we all know and love. While it's fun to look at the past, times have changed and so have policies, procedures, and management. This site aims to unravel and explain why the LIRR does so many of the things it does.
