I am simply a fan of Cooperstown, NY and all it has to offer. It's a gorgeous area with a rich history, and there's plenty to do. Everyone knows the Baseball Hall of Fame, which is a must see even for nonbaseball fans, but there's plenty of other museums and things to do that make Cooperstown worth visiting again and again. The great thing about Cooperstown is the variety. You can focus on baseball, or you can stop by the Fenimore Art Museum for some art culture and a bit of local history. The Farmers' Museum lets you get even more up close up and personal with the history of the area, and was every bit as fun as the Basbeall Hall of Fame when I was a kid. If you're more into food and drink, you can check out the Cooperstown Brewery or the now world famous Brewery Ommegang and all the great restaurants in the area. You can also enjoy some serious golfing, boating on Otsego Lake, lakeside opera, or just driving around and taking in the sites.

So, obviously, I'm a big fan of visiting Cooperstown, and I want to make sure that there's plenty of information on here for anyone who's curious about visiting. Another great source of information on visiting is Cooperstown Getaway, the tourist organization for Cooperstown. If anyone is curious about the history of the area, there's plenty of references and books on the Leatherstocking Country, and reading some James Fenimore Cooper is a great way of experiencing the history of the area.
