Wentworth Park
Open1884 ?[1]

Wentworth Park is an open area grass covered park reclaimed from the head of Blackwattle Bay, surrounded by Wattle Street, Wentworth Park Road and Bridge Road. It contains a sporting complex used for greyhound racing.

Beginning of the reclamation.[2]

Wentworth Park Sporting Complex[edit]

Most of this will be available on the Wentworth Park page, so I'm mainly after bits regarding the Blackwattle Swamp, the causeway across it, becoming Bridge Rd, Glebe. Started 1876

History[edit]

this needs re-wording with refs and put above the SC. It's the park not the SC.

Where is this[edit]

a shot of a bridge, much like Glebe Island Bridge, but no drawbridge, not as high, not enough spans and no central raised section for small boats - Two shots one is Glebe island, one isn't
