Assigmnet 6 SpaceX building a future for humanity. SpaceX is an Aerospace manufacturer which has very ambitious goals one of them is making the industry if aerospace more affordable by creating reusable rockets. Another key idea of SpaceX is to work alongside NASA and worldwide aerospace organizations to get a human in Mars. First let’s start with the main problems a reusable rockets presents. This new rockets require a new technology which is still on development and thus the “Falcon 9” rocket did succeed there is still plenty more to test specially with heavier aircrafts which are required to put humans on Mars. Secondly the problem for putting a human on Mars are abundant. One of them is the radiation exposure during the trip to Mars which requires new technology. Then we have the basic problems such as lack of water, dealing with a frigid planet and lack of oxygen. The reason why I choose this topic is because the work that SpaceX is doing alongside other companies is key to the evolution of the species. The technology they are developing now is going to be the foundation of future’s generation technology. Space exploration challenges the human mind like never before therefore fomenting innovation by creating solutions of the problem. The technical standpoint is that this company is promoting innovation by creating new complex machines that can address the main problems the company faces. The ethical point is actually quite controversial because many people have the opinion that the money funding use for space exploration should be instead used of more current problems such as world hunger, Pandemic prevention, etc. Although I grant their word I still maintain that the benefits that this company is going to bring to us far outweighs the counter argument. The societal standpoints are really beneficial because this company only focus is to bring benefits to society. By developing new technologies they can also be used in other areas that can greatly beneficial to our society. One good example is current GPS which was achieved thanks to the development of satellites at that time. All in all I think this article is going to be more focused to people who are into technology, science and astronomy.
