Kitdi (Kitdi.com)

Kitdi is a user-generated online community space for liberal, moderate, and forward thinking people, as well as the social justice and environmental justice movements. Kitdi was the primary initiative of Aric J. Isom, Sr. and his online marketing firm adCricket.com.

Kitdi was establish on October 1st, 2014 as a social network specifically designed to be easy to use. The founder, Isom, had accumulated a collection of contacts from many social justice and environmental organizations over the years, but had not found a central online social gathering spot that catered to this group. Figuring the total number of such organizations around the world to be more then a million, Isom launched Kitdi.com, which stands for nothing, but is the name of one of his three cats.

Today, Kitdi.com integrate many social networking features, such as status posts, picture and YouTube video sharing, games, likes, pages, groups, and messaging to provide a greater possibilities for collaboration and friendships.

Awards

Because of Kitdi's efforts in bringing people together in co-operation and peace has won the 2014 Friendship Award from the community and peace building organization Friends Across The Line, Inc.

Backbone and Software

Kitdi uses a powerful PHP script called SocialStrap. SocialStrap has an add-on system that allows Kitdi developers to customize and extend almost any aspect of the application. This allows the Kitdi network to grow virtually without limit.
