Hi,

I'm Kees from the Netherlands, currently residing in the hart of the country, Utrecht. About me, after high school I have started my chemical studies at HLO (Laboratory College - bachelor). I obtained my degree in 1998. I continued my studies at the Utrecht University, Faculty of Chemistry. I specialized in the areas of Organometallic chemistry and Catalysis. After obtaining my M.Sc. degree I started as a Ph.D. student in the group of Prof. Gerard van Koten and Prof. Bert Klein Gebbink. The focus of my Ph.D. research study was the development of organometallic protein catalyst and their application in catalytic reactions. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in 2007 and continued to build my expertise as a postdoc at the Inorganic Chemistry department of the same university on the subject of alternative energy and conversion of byproducts from biofuel production into value added products. Currently I'm working at a well-know scientific publisher in the department of Science and Technology - Alternative Energy Products.
