CigarFox.com began in 2008 by founder Dan Jenuwine. The company is located in Michigan. [4] In May 2008, the Michigan Senate passed legislation to ban smoking in bars, restaurants, and workplaces. The smoking ban in Michigan workplaces was spearheaded in the House of Representatives. [5]
CigarFox History[edit]
CigarFox.com was started by Dan Jenuwine in 2008 as a website to create custom cigar samples serving cigar connoisseurs and customers. [6] The Jenuwine family started in the tobacco business by concentrating on distribution of tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes to retailers throughout Metro Detroit in 1946. The business was originally located in Center Line Michigan.
In the 1950’s the company was called J & J Wholesale and Vending Company and started placing cigarette vending machines throughout Metro Detroit. The Jenuwine’s company was bought by S. Abraham & Sons of Grand Rapids in 1988. From 1988 through 1997 the Jenuwine family was a rep for major tobacco manufacturers to retailers and wholesalers in the United States.
In 1997 Dan Jenuwine opened a mail order cigar distribution company that sold cigars direct to consumers throughout the United States. [7]
