Reference Librarian participating in the WebJunction course, Wikipedia + LIbraries: Better Together. First goal is to learn to edit properly. Created this new account to use for course and local history efforts connected to library's collection.

Have some small Wikipedia experience going back more than 10 years but never edited more than a few times a years using personal account.

Conflict of Interest Statement

I, garnetbibliophile, am an employee of Ocean County Library, a New Jersey public library dedicated to Connecting People, Building Community and Transforming Lives.  I will try never to make an edit that is not in the best interest of Wikipedia’s Five Pillars.

I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability.

I do, from time to time, insert links or create articles based on library resources especially about local New Jersey history.  I am not aware of any conflict of interest that I have on that topic.

I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration.
