Previously, I was a senior lecturer in transportation engineering at Canterbury University in Christchurch.

I have a strong interest in road safety and sustainable transport, specialising particularly in cycle planning & design and speed management.

I have also been involved in cycling advocacy through the Cycling Action Network of NZ (CAN) and Spokes Canterbury.
