If you cannot edit in the visual mode, here is the fix:

l  Go to Preferences (top right on Wikipedia after logging in)

l  Go to Editing

Scroll down to the pull down menu “Editing mode” and change it to Show me both editor tabs”. Then save the change (button at the bottom)
