My concerns are with planning: How it is done, how it is organized and the implications of planning by government for its constituents. This especially includes transport and urban development issues, that I have been involved in for over 40 years, professionally and in citizen activities.
I am currently working on texts that explore the technical and political attributes of planning in the U.S. My experience includes work in innovative transit demonstration programs in the 1970's, benefit cost analysis, air traffic management systems engineering, the Intelligent Transportation ystems (ITS) program, and related infrastructure security.
I am the holder of important archival material on the highway revolt. I have the correspondence files left by the Highway Action Coalition (HAC) from the early 1970's and from CONTACT-US that inherited the HAC mission in the latter 1970's.
