I am currently contemplating a name change. It has been brought to my attention that some people may be ut off by my username and I understand that.

I use Wikipedia on a regular basis for research and leisure reading.

My goal is to make some contributions in the area of Iowa (and Western Illinois) politics and government.

I also watch the AFD lists and try to salvage articles unjustly nominated there. While trying to assume good faith in all cases, it's sometimes difficult to do so. Lazy nominations (failure to look beyond the simplistic and often misleading google or web traffic tests) and "me too" voters have led more than a few entries to ill-deserved graves.
