This user thinks that userboxes are completely Pointless.
Looking at my own editing history, technology and music-wise, I get the impression that I'm a bit of a "nerd" ;) However, except for a guilty pleasure in the cheesy '80s prog band Marillion and their former frontman Fish (hence the username), I don't really match this profile. At least I hope I don't. ;) I usually end up editing pages I stumble upon purely by accident, so they don't necessarily reflect my tastes and interests. To give you an example, I just added a cover to an album article by someone I don't like at all. ;)
Bicholim conflict (copied over from here) - way too hilarious to disappear without a trace... ("The conflict was fairly brief and its impact in terms of casualties and damage was minimal. Eor this reason, it has not become much of a talking point amongst filmmakers and bookwriters.") The original creator, a user with the unlikely name A-b-a-a-a-a-a-a-b-a, just had to be blocked, of course. Still, it feels a bit like shooting the messenger, and out of sheer vanity at that. After all, this hoax merely exposed one of Wikipedia's main weaknesses. In my book, its inventor deserves to be blocked and a medal at the same time!
