I was born (AD 1973) and raised on a small island by the name of Gullholmen on the Swedish west coast, and I'm presently a resident of the town of Gothenburg, Sweden. I am a PhD student of musicology at Gothenburg University, and I'm writing a thesis on the dissemination of music and dance styles from the British Isles into Scandinavia during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and their absorption into what we know as the Nordic folk music traditions. The styles in question are mainly the reel and the hornpipe. Eventually, as time permits, I intend to start writing some contributions to Wikipedia based on my knowledge in this field, and in ethnomusicology in general.

I also have a general interest in history and religion, and am a faithful Lutheran Christian. Furthermore, I have to admit an interest in less conventional topics such as forteana, cryptozoology and alternative history.
