William V. Mayer (1920-1989) was professor emeritus of biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and editor-in-chief of Bookwatch. He held an A.B. in zoology from the University of California and a Ph.D. in biology from Stanford University. Mayer served as associate director and director of Biological Sciences Curriculum Study in Colorado Springs, CO, and was a past president and honorary member of NABT. He was chairman of NABT's 50th anniversary committee and editor of Scientific Integrity. Robert A. Steiner[edit]

Born 1934, died 4-Jan-2013. One of the founders of the Bay Area Skeptics Prompted by Mark Plummer & Dick Smith, he toured Australia in 1984 pretending to be a psychic named "Steve Terbot".[2] Was president of the Society of American Magicians 1988-1989.
