Lisa Berlin was born on June 17, 1979 in Flushing, Queens, New York. She and her parents lived on Roosevelt Avenue until that fall, when they moved to a semi-attached house in Whitestone, where she resides to this day.

Lisa attended Townsend Harris High School from 1993-1997. After a turbulent scholastic career at New York University over the next several years, she departed to pursue other interests. In January 2006 she began attending Queens College, and in May 2007 she will finally complete her undergraduate degree in linguistics.
