A second major campaign came in the fourth month of 733 and Guo Yingjie was ordered to lead 10,000 troops assisted by Xi warriors to crush Khitan. But Ketuyu came before Guo Yingjie with Turkish support, putting Chinese-Xi troops in difficulty, thus, Xi fled to save themselves. As predictable, Guo Yingjie and his men, alone to face Khitan-Turkish troops, were lost with heavy causalities. Guo along with most of his men were killed on the battlefield.
