Jacques Fonteray
Jacques Fonteray, (10 February 1918 – 6 February 6 2013) was a French costume designer with an international career.
Among his most notable creations are those for Barbarella, La Banquière, Moonraker, Borsalino, La Folie des Grandeurs, the many costumes created for Romy Schneider, Brigitte Bardot's famous wedding dress in Boulevard du Rhum, until to those of A French woman. "We live in a time of tremendous transition, where each of us can express ourselves on the « screen », in french « la toile », a familiar word that evokes together: the computer screen, the cinema screen, the painting ... If by chance, the diffusion of one of my drawings on the internet made someone dream or aroused a desire of creation, our mission would be fulfilled, and we could be proud of it.
