Just chatter
You asked if I was a fan - guess that's pretty obvious LOL! I love any and all concert videos, most genres, love to watch the musicians play (I'm a wannabe). Saw this video and BJ just really stood out for me, really awesome playing, and wanted to check him out, so this is where I've ended up. :) I listen to a lot of music, son's into metal, daughter into hip hop (yuck). Never seen a Slayer video before so been checking them out on youtube - they sure can put on a show! The guitar playing is amazing! I'm not much into Yanni CDs but he has some of the most talented musicians that tour with him so I mostly enjoy the live videos. He's classified as new age but he sure can rock sometimes. Eh, if you ever get a chance, there are a lot of acropolis videos on youtube - great drum and bass solos. Check them out sometime. You might like it, or might not, who knows. :) Again, just want to say thanks for sending this article through the meat grinder, its looking so much better for it. - Oddly enough, you mention Slayer but it's Metalhead that's really really into them. I love Slayer, but nowhere near as much as he does - the reason why I began with those articles was because I found a collaborator who could help show the Metal fans on Wikipedia how it should really be done. My fave bands are Marilyn Manson, Motorhead, Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, etc. etc. - the list goes on and on. I really shouldn't be reviewing on Wikipedia lol, as I actually have a small interview [www.lucemfero.com Metal site] I should be working on. Great drums eh? You should see Slayer's Dave Lombardo when he gets going! I'm glad I actually chose to review an article where a nominator actually listens to what he's being told and takes it all onboard (nothing more I hate than reviewing an article where a person doesn't reply) - with all these skills it's highly unlikely your future FACs will languish on the page, though I would recommend choosing a more popular topic to work on next time. I really do hope you start reviewing and pass on whatever I've learnt you (not much probs), because in terms of the Wikipedia Project it's a great investment from my perspective. In taking the time to show you some of the ins and outs of how to get to the coveted FA (seems miles away when you've never achieved one, I know!), it's possible now that you may go on to write 2 or 3 more Featured Articles which is a great thing. It's a bit unfortunate you aren't a Metal fan, because Metal music's forgotten on Wikipedia a lot of the time. LuciferMorgan 18:50, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I don't mind metal - the musical talent involved is tremendous, so I tend to listen to the instruments more - not big on the singing parts though. Its hip hop I'm not a fan of - color me wrong but I see no talent in it IMO, all sounds the same. But I think that's about the only type of music I don't like. There is music playing here all the time, all types. It looks to me like the wikiproject metal has really taken off with high quality articles and good to have someone like you and m3talh3ad, etc. collaborating on it. They play their instruments rather well and have a good singer. As concerns hip hop, I'm not a fan either - the lyrics tend to fixate around rather specific themes with little depth, and they seem to steal samples off other people's tracks. Unfortunately, WikiProject Metal is actually still firmly on its backside and hasn't gone anywhere - I introduced their assessment scheme and am the only one assessing articles for the Metal Project. Also, other than inheriting the Slayer Projects articles, all they do is debate what band is what genre (sighs), and create crufty stubs with plenty of POV. Thanks for saying I have a great site - hasn't been up long, so all is appreciated. It's a shame Joseph isn't a metal musician as I would've done you a favour by interviewing him for my website in order to get information for the article. - I also like Rock, but when I refer to Rock I'm speaking of Ozzy, AC / DC, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy / Alice Cooper / Queen / Bowie and all those 70's / 80's bands. Asking the right Qs isn't relative to which genre one likes, but is relative to the level of research you've done. 99% of the bands I've interviewed I've never heard a single chord by. Odd you mention keyboards, since they have some great keyboard parts do Sonata Arctica - check a song called "Paid in Full", which was number 1 in Finland. As concerns learning a lot, hopefully now when you next decide to write an FA it'll be a lot easier. Now I hope Raul wipes the FAC yet again and asks for a fresh pair of eyes, as I feel this time it'll get passed. I certainly hope it will. LuciferMorgan 01:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

You should move the sample into the music and structure section and explain what the sample is, 'harrowing angular riff' to give the section some context like in Angel of Death how it mentions the scream and fast pace, rather then talk about the Grammy Awards. Re: What's with you and GA?
Thanks. It's nice to read that people actually appreciated my efforts. I'll possibly be back in a few days to a couple weeks. Whenever the ridiculous issues are dropped or resolved, however, I'm not sure to what degree. I'm going to try out some PRs and maybe some FAC reviews. I think those may be more appreciated overall. Wording suggestion
Lucifer, I know you like to phrase things emphatically, but I wonder if you would consider rewording your comment at WP:GA/R, where you refer to the "juvenile antics" of the mathematics editors. If you were to say "behaviour" instead of "juvenile antics", it would avoid concerns about civility; if you wanted to scan your other comments and see if there was anything else you could tone down, that might be helpful too. I would also just comment that as far as I can see Geometry guy is reasonable, smart, and is acting independently of other editors, and if you were to cooperate and work with him on figuring out how to improve GA/R it would probably be a productive collaboration. In any case I don't think he deserves to be the target of your irritation -- he may not agree with you but he's acting in good faith. Just 2 cents from an uninvolved editor. - I call juvenile antics what they are, and that's juvenile antics. If Geometry Guy wishes to change the GA criteria he can debate it on the GA criteria page, and not GA/R. GA/R doesn't make the rules, it just enforces them. I'm frankly fed up of how poor the Maths editors have acted at GA/R as they've driven away some vital editors such as LaraLove (who reviewed a lot of GAs), and I refuse to pussyfoot around the issue. PMAnderson's utter bullshit, which is what it is, has disrupted many pages not to mention an FAC I recently had (calling me illiterate etc.) - he went well over WP:POINT, and needs to grow up and stop acting like the idiot he is, as does the rest of his playmates.
- As concerns Geometry Guy acting in good faith, I 110% disagree - people from that Project don't even know the meaning of the words. Their attempts at lowering GA standards is truly saddening, and is just a means so that they can notch up GAs without putting any work in.

- Very funny - I always opt to speak my mind rather than veil it with words that aren't even meant. Removing album covers I still feel is excessive, and the one you removed had a proper fair use rationale. In the light of BetaCommand, BigTexr and all the other Gestapo members storming around in their jackboots, I think my comment was rather nice as regards you removing the cover to be honest. Sure, you can call a spade a spade, but that's certainly not calling an obviously intelligent editor "stupid" nor alluding that the deletion of potentially copyright infringing works is akin to the Gestapo. - Disruption? I called what he did "stupid", not him to be generally "stupid" - please don't try changing what I said. That's misleading people and isn't acceptable at all. This was a few days ago, and then I have the same editor on my page mocking me by saying I'm in his "list of honors" - if that's not goading for a response then I don't know what is. Furthermore, Betacommandbot was blocked because it annoyed so many people and a few others left Wikipedia altogether - so please don't tell me what I can say and cannot say. He sends the bot around and doesn't even know what the bot is tagging, and other than having the bot run rampant on Wikipedia I don't see him actually doing anything else to further Wikipedia. That was calling a spade a spade in my opinion.
- Also, don't use impersonal templates on my page - if you got something to say then write it yourself. If you don't have the time to write something yourself, then I don't see the point in you messaging. And may I ask how you came to this page? Have you purposely put my userpage on your watchlist, or have you been intentionally monitoring my edits? I certainly don't feel your "warning" is in good faith at all - I've seen people swear and all sorts on pages on the past (and admins doing this may I add) and have seen no warnings. Now I'm being warned for calling an action "stupid" - if you wish to warn people then feel free to also warn other admins when they be incivil on pages thanks. LuciferMorgan 16:40, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
