About Me[edit]
I joined Wikipedia in 2012 because the first time I came across it, I was left in awe for the awesome work people were doing to provide information, backed by authentic sources, about anything and everything, free of cost, to other random people. Since I personally benefited a lot from these articles, I considered it incumbent upon me to help others by improving these articles. Once I spent some time on it reading its guidelines and policies, I became bold and started to make edits to the articles I found poorly referenced and messy. Little did I know at the time that I would be creating my own pages and making large edits to other pages.
I reside in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and I'm involved in all aspects of Wikipedia. I have certain fields of interest and I make edits to articles related to Islam, Islamic personalities, historical events, historical places, monuments, etc. especially related to Kashmir and the Indian subcontinent. I have created new articles and actively take part in editing and proofreading and providing authentic references to the existing ones. Therefore, by definition, I am a Wikifairy as well as a WikiGnome. I will continue to improve Wikipedia articles in my capacity, however little I can. I have also contributed to Wikipedia Commons and will try to contribute to other platforms as well.
