The Dunhuang medical manuscripts are handwritten medical texts that were discovered in the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang in the early twentieth century and are now kept at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, the British Library in London, the St Petersburg branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Ryūkoku University Library in Japan, as well as in various Chinese collections.[1]
