GommeHD.net is a German Minecraft server with more than 5 million users.[1]

GommeHD.net was published on July 28, 2012 by the company Blitz H16-134 GmbH (now GommeHDnet GmbH) under the domain GommeHD.tk as a subscriber special of the German YouTuber GommeHD (real name: Christoph Renk).
Server structure[edit]
The server offers 19 game modes, most of them are based on Player versus Player (PvP). At the beginning, there was only one game mode called Hunger Games, which is based on the eponymous book series.[2]
As of August 2020, the server has 10 administrators and 16 developers.[3]
Technically speaking, the network is a proxy network, meaning there is a proxy between the client and the server that mediates the users. This makes it possible for the user to change servers within the network at will without the user having to reconnect or noticing the server change.

Community[edit]
The community can actively participate in the further development of the network, communicate with each other or contact the team. A forum, a support page as well as a TeamSpeak and Discord server are available for this purpose. Furthermore, the so-called Gommunity is an area on the server which can be used for communication among users and with the team.
