Mjh40 was born on May 21, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 1997. Mjh40 attended college at the College of Engineering at Cornell University, graduating in 2001, and from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs in 2002. He currently resides in Fairfax County, Virginia and works in the federal government.

Aside from work he enjoys college ice hockey, running marathons, and developing the next generation of society's leaders.
