Islam and Terrorism[edit]

Islam is a religion of peace, love and harmony. Islam rejects all the forms of terrorism. In Islam killing one is like killing all. Islam condemns the actions of Osama bin laden and his followers.

Root cause of terrorism in Islam[edit]

The root cause of terrorism is the illiteracy in the Muslim world. Majority of the Muslims who lack knowledge about Islam indulge in such kind of activities that is why Allah(God) encouraged Muslims to get education in order increase their knowledge.

Extremism in Islam[edit]

Islam teaches Muslims about moderation and rejects all kinds of terrorism or extremism. However there are certain groups of Muslims who misinterpret Quran and justify their actions in the name of Islam.

Islam and 9/11 attacks[edit]

9/11 attacks was the worst example of the terrorism attacks in the history of Islam which was carried out by a terrorist group called Al-Qaeda. These attacks embarrassed large number of Muslims because it gave a bad name to Islam.

Islam and suicide bombings[edit]

suicide bombings never existed in the history of Islam. These attacks were used by Japanese kamikaze pilots during the Second World War and is also used for tamil tigers in order to target innocent people. In Islam suicide bombings is strictly forbidden and seen as a the act of cowardice.

Osama's Lack of popularity in Pakistan[edit]

Osama Bin Laden might have the support of the Pakistani community due to the reason that many Pakistanis are not happy with the United States's idea of invading a free country Iraq which is the only reason that Osama is seen famous in Pakistan but Pakistani community do not support Osama Bin Laden idea of Taliban style government. Pakistan is very moderate country and the recent Operation Red Mosque incident had showed that Pakistanis rejected the presence of extremist factions in Pakistan. Even Pakistani religious scholars gave fatwaa against the terrorists and declared them as Non Muslims completely. Many Pakistanis also think that Osama Bin Laden cannot be hiding in Pakistan but could be in Iran or Syria. Pakistanis follow Hanafi school of thought in Pakistan which rejects Wahabi School of thought completely which is one reason that Osama's religion ideology is not accepted in Pakistan and in many part of South Asia. Hanafi school of thought followers see things logically rather than religiously. Operation Red Mosque created a huge set back for Osama Bin Laden because Osama thought that Pakistan would become like Iraq for Al Qaeda. The recent tape warning message of Osama Bin Laden against President Musharaf clearly shows the embarrassment of Osama Bin Laden in front of the Pakistani community who said it on his face that we do not support you Osama on terrorism or Radical Islamiazation.
