Terconazole, sold under the brand name Terazol among others, is a medication used to treat vaginal yeast infections.[1] It is a first line treatment for this use.[1] It is used inside the vagina as a lotion or suppository.[1]

Common side effects include itching, abdominal pain, and painful periods.[1] Other side effects may include allergic reactions.[1] Safety in pregnancy is unclear.[2] It works by disrupting the cell membrane of certain fungus.[1] It has a relatively broad spectrum of activity.[1]

Terconazole was approved for medical use in the United States in 1987.[1] It is available as a generic medication.[3] In the United States a tube costs about 20 USD.[3]
