American Military History[edit]

Why is it the USAF is considered a second-class military force? There's plenty of information and structure for the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves, and probably Boy Scouts. There's precious little contiguity - even just information - on the Air Force? I joined up in the Air Force after being offered some pretty choice jobs from the other forces. Why? Because I believed (and still do) that the US Air Force is the most technologically advanced military force in the world.

All this being said, in this technological forum called Wikipedia, there's scarce little information about the foundations of the Air force, and how this fledgling Army Air Corps grew from flying biplanes in a field to launching missles in the middle of the great Northern prairie! I just hope I find others with a desire for a neutral-point-of-view (the great NPOV……) addition to this encyclopedia for all the Air Force notable things. I'm going to begin with the organizational structure, then move on from there. We'll just have to see if I survive! :-)~
