During March 2022, there was a period of conspiracies against Imran Khan and the PTI government. Meanwhile, no-confidence motion was raised against Imran Khan. It intensified. Even Imran Khan called the support of America behind this riot.

Timeline[edit]

The events behind this narrative were as follows;

Mehngai Long March[edit]

First, the opposition started a long march protesting against inflation.

No-confidence motion[edit]

On February 11, the United Opposition had announced a no-confidence motion

Just two days before this movement was gathered, former ex Prime Minister Imran Khan had said in an address to a rally in Mailsi district of Punjab that 'Has the opposition thought that if the movement fails, what will I do with them?'

And on March 8, this motion was submitted to the National Assembly Secretariat, which was signed by 86 members of the National Assembly.

American intervention[edit]

And then the American ambassador met with members of the opposition.

The American ambassador wrote a cipher letter to the Pakistani authorities to remove Imran Khan from the no-confidence motion

American Ambassador's meeting with Pakistani politicians[edit]

according to rshad Sharif, the anchorperson of Pakistan's news channel ARY, has referred to a report presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan in his program, which claims that Maryam Nawaz, Shehbaz Sharif, and Tehreek-e-Insaf's defiant members of the assembly have Have met with diplomats.

In this program, an attempt has been made to connect the fabric of these meetings with the motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister. After this program, the supporters of Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Prime Minister Imran Khan are demanding on social media that a case of treason under Article 6 should be registered against those who held these meetings.[1]

American letter[edit]

In a rally before the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan revealed the American interference against his government by waving the American letter.

However, former Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing a public meeting in Islamabad on March 27, took out an alleged letter from his pocket and waved it, claiming that the United Opposition was trying to topple his government through an 'external conspiracy'. and this letter is proof of this alleged conspiracy.[2]

Proceedings of the Assembly[edit]

When the no-confidence motion was tried in the assembly on April 6, the speaker moved the date forward.

Supreme Court support[edit]

On this, the opposition knocked the door of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ordered the continuation of the no-confidence motion

Assembly meeting was held on April 9. But before presenting the no-confidence motion, PTI Speaker Qasim Soori announced his resignation.

Members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced a boycott of the same movement.

Army interference[edit]

At the same time, there was news in public that army vehicles have left for Prime Minister House and Bani Gala.

Imran Khan got up from his office and went to Bani Gala with just a diary in his hand.

No-confidence motion[edit]

At the same time, twelve o'clock at night came and a motion of no confidence was presented against Imran Khan's government.

And on the basis of the votes of the opponents, this movement was declared successful.

Resignation[edit]

After the completion of No-Confidence Motion the all National Assembly members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf resigned from their seat. [3]

Public protest[edit]

After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lost the prime ministership, the people protested strongly the next day.

In one of his tweets, Imran Khan said that I thank the people of Pakistan for coming out against the American regime change. Mirjafaroh are local thugs who are out on bail. Whether in the Pakistani country or overseas, everyone has rejected the change of this government. He added that never in history have people come out in such large numbers to reject an imported government. [4]

On May 25, people tried to sit in Islamabad. But due to the presence of military personnel, Darmian suspended the sit-in after a week.

Jalsa Amr-Bal-Maruf[edit]

On the 27th March, the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf held its rally in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

Contradictory claims[edit]

Various claims were made by the government and opponents regarding the number of people participating in this rally.

American Letter Investigation[edit]

PML-N demanded the government to bring this letter to Parliament or National Security Committee.[5]

Later this letter was also presented in the Supreme Court, in front of the public and also in the national security meeting.

Regime Change Seminar[edit]

On July 2, 2022, Imran Khan organized a seminar under Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Which was titled

In it, people of every school of thought openly talked about regime change, especially journalist Imran Riaz Khan openly criticized the military government, on which later an FIR was cut against him and he was locked up in police stations. Apart from this, Ayaz Amir criticized Imran Khan while speaking. This seminar made the incident of regime change more prominent in the eyes of the people.
