Hello, I'm an academic librarian who currently works with high school students.
I heard Sue Gardner speak at ALA 2011 in June in New Orleans, and it totally changed the way I think about Wikipedia and the way I am going to use it with my students -- or, I should say, I will now *start* using it with my students.
Because I am constantly researching things myself, I hope to contribute to Wikipedia by providing citations and cross-references for content that already exists. My contributions will probably be in the humanities: history, literature, political science, economics, religion.
