My Background[edit]
I am a Chartered Librarian working for High Life Highland Libraries, leading in digital library services, social media, cataloguing and classification and interested in Digital Marketing. My background is originally in Fine Art. which I studied at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen.
Education[edit]
I graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art, Painting from The Robert Gordon University, Gray's School of Art in 2004. My interests in libraries and archives led me onto complete an MSc Information and Library Studies from Aberdeen Business School, The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, graduating in 2007.
I have continued to progress my professional development, recently completing a CMI SCQF Level 6 Certificate in First Line Management with Chartered Management Institute in 2016.
Interests[edit]
As well as my interest in libraries, I am enthusiastic about the value of social media, new technologies and Digital Marketing for promoting access to libraries, education and digital inclusion. I enjoy creating contemporary visual art as well as listening to and collecting contemporary Jazz vinyl.
I am passionate about the Highland sport of shinty and follow my local team Lovat Shinty Club from Kiltarlity, Scotland.
