Bibliography - Articles for Consideration http://www.infed.org/thinkers/gardner.htm http://pzweb.harvard.edu/pis/hg.htm I plan to further evaluate the 7-9(?) intelligences that have been identified by Gardner. I also plan to look at his approach to education, as he has been at Harvard University developing his theories for over two decades now. I believe I can find more about his history as well. Since he is still living I would also like to find his most recent accomplishments. --Rushdwb (talk) 22:33, 21 June 2011 (UTC) 6/31/2011 --Rushdwb (talk) 20:09, 4 July 2011 (UTC) --Rushdwb (talk) 20:36, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Furthering Education[edit]

Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences has not been readily accepted within academic psychology. However, his theory has been met with positive responses from many educators. Traditionally, schools have focused on the development of logical and linguistic intelligences (reading and writing). These intelligences are also focused on through standard Intelligence Quotient [1], aka the IQ Test. According to Gardner, these standardized tests that are used in the current American education system do not even begin to measure all seven of his multiple intelligences which vary from person to person and thus determine the ways in which each person learns most effectively.
