About Me[edit]
I am a 32 year old male originally from the US, living abroad.
My wikipedia editing is sporadic, not regular. I am an avid sailor and I live aboard my 36 foot yacht full time and am currently cruising in the Caribbean. Much of my wikipedia interest is thus in sailing related subjects. In addition to sailing topics, I often edit various articles I stumble across for typos, wikification, vandalism and blatant POV. I am a horrible speller though, I won't be offended and very much welcome people fixing spelling mistakes in my edits(and indeed welcome users to leave notes on my user page pointing out each of my spelling mistakes!). Even though an awful speller, occasionally I will edit an article for consistent spelling between UK and US english, prefering to use the spelling most relevant to the article, or if neither is more relevant then using the version from the origonal contribution. I have also done a small amount of editing over at Wikiquote and Wikisource.
Since my editing is sporadic, some of the procedures and policies I am not 100% fluent in, if you do not like an edit I made let me know by leaving a note on my talk page or the talk page of the article, I am happy to discuss it. I always check talk pages before making edits to see if there is any discussion already about an issue I see. On edit which are potentially controversial I usually leave a comment on the talk page regarding the edit and why I made it, preferring to see discussion rather then edit wars.
